Summer Learning Journey - Day 12

For day 12, I had to imagine that I am Mr. Key and I have the power to create laws (rules) that everyone in New Zealand would have to follow. I had to think of three (3) rules that I would make up if I was the prime minister.
These are my 3 rules:

1. Increase the age of legal drinking
2. Lower the tuition fees for University
3. Focus more on cyberbullying

  1. Wow, Sajiha, I am really impressed by the three laws that you created. They vary in scope and demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of people living in New Zealand, particularly students who are struggling to pay their tuition fees for university and those who are the victims of cyberbullying. We certainly live in an age of digital learning and digital dialogue and we do have to be conscious of what we are posting and how we are communicating with others online, don't we? I am also an advocate of educating people about cyberbullying and working on reducing the incidence of this behaviour. It's very important but it's not easy to accomplish! (I suppose that most important things aren't necessarily easy to accomplish, though.)

Speaking of accomplishments, you are doing so well with your blogging over summer. I hope that it will help you when you get to high school in February as you will have been practicing writing and reading over the break. I think that you'll be well placed to start the new year.

Best of luck in your new school!
