This is my comment to Victoria. I have chosen her blog to comment on because I think her blog post about her birthday is very interesting. She used very rare words and her sentences flowed really well. I have ended my comment with a question. Hopefully she will reply back and maybe a conservation will go on!

Teacher For A Day!

Teacher For A Day

Have you ever wondered how it would be to be a teacher for a day? I did. If I was the teacher of the day I would be a normal teacher. This is how I would treat my class!

Firstly if the students were working really well and on task, I would let them party for the whole day and let them do whatever they wanted. I would always keep in my cupboard party things so that they can party when they are on task!

On the other hand, if they were off task and being cheeky and naughty, I would make them go outside and let them think about what they’ve done. If everyone is off task, I would  let them stay in class and finish their work no matter how long it would takes. I would watch them learn as I sit and relax playing games and listening to music on my comfortable chair.

I would treat my class the way they would treat me. If they shout and talk back to me, I would do the same. If they respected me and used their manners, I would respect them too and use my manners too!

That is how I would treat my class for a day , If I was the teacher for the day. I wish my teacher could let us party all day!

This is my unusual animal slide. My unusual animal is a Capybara. It is a mammal and lives in Central and South America. It is a herbivore and eats aquatic plants, bark and grasses. I have also found some interesting facts about the Capybara

Inference

Inference means finding something that wasn't explained fully in a story. It can also mean using clues to find something about the story that the author didn't include. I can infer by using clues from the text, thinking about how a character feels, says and about the characters actions. 

Equivalent Fractions

I have been playing a game called Equivalent Fractions. In this game, you have to find two different ways to say a fraction. I have found five different ways to say a fraction. This game helps me to learn how to find equivalent fractions. It also taught me my fractions faster and more confidently. Hopefully next time, I want to learn more different ways to say equivalent fractions. And I want to learn them much faster without needing any help!

2. Animals in the rainforest cannot live anywhere else if their habitats are destroyed
3. There are many predators and dangerous animals in the rainforest

5. The Southern Hemisphere is warmer than the Northern Hemisphere

Rainbow Lories

Rainbow Lories is a special kind of parrot which is a bird. They are warm blooded. Lories are vertebrates and have a skeleton.

They have different types of feathers and lay eggs in nests high up in trees in the tropical rainforests. Rainbow lories can sing and whistle with their powerful beaks. They also have strong wings that help them fly high up in the air. Their clawed toes also help them balance on trees. Rainbow Lories are harmless and medium sized birds.

Rainbow Lories are parrots, they can fly, they have a backbone and skeleton and have different kinds of feathers.

This is my animal classification. I have put animals in groups where I think they belong. There are groups for Reptiles, Fish, Mammals, Amphibians and birds. There is also a group for the non animals which don't have a group. 

Birds

What is a Bird?

Birds have different types of feathers, lay eggs, have clawed feet and are even warm blooded. All birds have strong wings but only some can fly. For example a penguin, it has wings but cannot fly at all. This is because its wings are too small. Birds also have two legs and clawed toes. They all lay eggs in nests that they build and their eggs come in different sizes and sometimes in different colours. Some birds can sing. They usually sing in dawn. Birds have beaks to help them eat. They eat worms and some even eat meat like fish. Some birds live in the sea and some even are kept as pets. They are harmless and do not have any teeth. Some birds do not get wet when they swim in water. This is because their wings and feathers have a special kind of oil that keeps them dry. Some birds even have webbed feet to help them swim. Birds have feathers, lay eggs and are warm blooded!

On Monday the 5th of May, Room 5 created a Animal Classification. This my animal classification. I have put animals in groups where I think they belong. There are groups of animals that can fly, zoo animals, harmless, sea animals, pet animals and even wild animals. There are no wrong or right answers.
