What if bees were as big as cats?

What if bees were as big as cats?

If bees were as big as cats they could be dangerous.They would also be like huge furry, soft creatures. This is how we would imagine a bee as big as a cat.

If bees were as big as cats they could be dangerous because bees can sting. Some people are even allergic to bee stings and that would be extremely  dangerous. They could end up swollen in the hospital willing for their lives. Wouldnt that be really dangerous?

Bees would also be like furry black and yellow, huge creatures. People might even keep them as their pets and take them for walks everyday. They might even ride on them because they can fly really high up in the air. And sometimes they might be very useful as they have six legs.

Maybe they wouldn’t be that dangerous as people could train them to stop stinging people. If you think of bees on the other side the can also help you with honey and pollen and without pollen there wouldn't be flowers without flowers our world wouldn't be as colourful and beautiful as it is now!  Besides they only sting people that attack them. Another idea is that instead of  police dogs they could use bees instead. so whenever the policies deal with something or someone dangerous, the bees could help out with them!

Thats how we imagine bees as big as cats. They would be dangerous, quite useful and not so bad. As they can be trained. Remember that bees can be actually fun. How would you imagine bees as big as cats?

Place Value Mystery Number

Here is a place value game that I have played and enjoyed. It teaches me my place values and where they each go. This is how you play this game. The game will give you clues and hints about a place value number. You will have to guess what the number is. At first I got it wrong but when I tried and tried I got better and better at it. I now know my place values and all the places of a place value number. Hopefully I can find another place value game to learn my place values much better and much faster!

Name Totems

Name Totems

A few weeks ago, we all created a name totem with matching taniwhas. We had a choice of cool colours or hot colors. I chose cool colors because it had all my favourite colours in it.

Firstly we had to sketch our names. Then we colored our names with crayons. At first it was really boring and really hard but as I kept trying I got better and better. And it got funner and funner. We also learnt how to reflect our names.

Later when we finished our name totems, we drew and coloured our taniwhas the colour we colored our names. This took quite a while but at the end we got what we wanted.

Finally when we all finished we put them up on the wall. We had so much fun. We had pride in all our work and wished that we could do a name totem again. Have you ever done a name totem before?

How Does Your Garden Grow?

In reading this week, I read a interesting and factual book called "How does your garden grow". Here are some amazing facts that I never knew.

1. Compost helps to improve Soil.

2. Worms like to live in cool, moist and dark places

3. Plants need loose, crumbly soil so that their roots can spread easily under the ground.

4. Weeds can be turned into compost to feed our garden

5. Compost is mostly a mixture of plant and vegetable waste.

These are also some amazing words that I never knew about. I have got the meanings from a dictionary.

1. Nutrients - Substance that provides essentials nourish

2. Microscopic - Visible. Extremely Small. Only seen by a microscope.

3. Microorganisms- Bacteria, Viruses, protozoa.

4. Landscape gardening - Art or or practise of laying out ornamental grounds.

5. Eagerly - Very Diligent

My Kiwi Kids News Quiz Results

This is my kiwi kids news quiz results. I have scored 80% out of 100% and only got 2 wrong. This was my first time trying the kiwi kids news quiz so I thought I did alright for the first time. The questions were not too hard and not too easy. They were just right for me. Hopefully I can get above 80% next time and also get no question wrong next time. My New Kind Of Sandwich

If I could invent a new kind of sandwich this is how it would be.

Firstly It would have soft white panini’s for the bread. The shape of the pannini would also be a star shape. It would have butter chicken for the fillings. Surrounding the butter chicken would be sweet chilli sauce, vegetables such as tomato in circle slices, fresh green lettuce and juicy cucumbers. There would also be cheese in small octagon slices. Another ingredient for my sandwich would be french fries with mayo. That would be my sensational sandwich. What would your sandwich be like?
