This week we had our third session of art at Tamaki College. I have been learning to find 10 images that relate to my culture, ten images that relate to my friends and family and 10 images that relate to my environment.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Ms Kirkpatrick.

How Does Your Garden Grow?
In reading this week, I read a interesting and factual book called "How does your garden grow". Here are some amazing facts that I never knew.
1. Compost helps to improve Soil.
2. Worms like to live in cool, moist and dark places
3. Plants need loose, crumbly soil so that their roots can spread easily under the ground.
4. Weeds can be turned into compost to feed our garden
5. Compost is mostly a mixture of plant and vegetable waste.
These are also some amazing words that I never knew about. I have got the meanings from a dictionary.
1. Nutrients - Substance that provides essentials nourish
2. Microscopic - Visible. Extremely Small. Only seen by a microscope.
3. Microorganisms- Bacteria, Viruses, protozoa.
4. Landscape gardening - Art or or practise of laying out ornamental grounds.
5. Eagerly - Very Diligent
