Group 3's Oobleck Experiment

This is the movie that group 3 created on "How to be a scientist".  Our group decided to choose Oobleck as our experiment. The steps and methods were explained. Our movie was edited using iMovie to add the title and effects.

Oobleck DLO

Recently, my science group made Oobleck with Ms. K. I have worked collaboratively with one of my classmates to create this Google Drawing about the steps we had to follow and the outcome we ended up with. We also added pictures of us whilst the experiment.

How to be a scientist

This is a Google Presentation that my group created on 'How to be a scientist'. Our group took our own photos to make our presentation more understandable. We also kept our definitions as simple and clear as possible.

Oobleck

Yesterday, we had our science session with Ms. K. My group made blue oobleck. We learn't all the ingredients needed for oobleck and the steps we needed to follow. I am really looking forward to our next science session next week.

Science @ Tamaki College

In the past two weeks in Tamaki College, we have been having Science. Our aim in this project is to design a rover that can scramble at least 3 meters on the floor. This is a collaborative Google Presentation created by Linda and I, that showcases our time there with pictures and a summary.

Science Project Reflection

Our first ever 'Science' lesson was held today at Tamaki College. Both year 7 and 8 classes were involved in this. We had to stay at the college from 8:30am (Time when our technology classes start) until 12:30pm. (The time when our project finished) We were split into 2 different classes with different teachers. The teacher I was with was 'Mr. Malhotre'. As part of our project, we were handed out booklets to give us an idea of what we were planning on to create. Our task in 4 weeks is to make a robot that is powered by rubber bands to scramble 3 meters across the floor. Mr. Malhotre also discussed with us the '4 Strands of Science' by showing us a google presentation. I am looking forward to the next 3 weeks at Tamaki College to complete our project!

Jaffa Roll Experiment

This is the fotor I created based around the Jaffa Roll experiment we had done on Tuesday. We needed to create something out of cardboard, sellotape, scissors, and glue that would make the Jaffa we were given go as far as possible. Everyone had done something ramp like since it was the most effective choice. Our Jaffa had gone 816 centimetres. The longest had gone over 900 centimetres. We were happy with our score since compared to others was really good. Everyone had fun and had creative designs that turned cardboard into something cool.

Science Elective DLO

This is a DLO explaining all the sessions and experiments I have done in my science elective with Ms.K. I have included images to give a clearer understanding too.
