Paper Planes Challenge

This week for Maths, we have been working collaboratively on a maths challenge where we were challenging ourselves to create and design a paper plane that will fly the furtherest. Last week, Mrs. Anderson set up a silent challenge and in our groups of 5-6, we trialled many different designs of paper planes. Today, we created the ultimate and final design for our team. We flew all the planes off the balcony, on the top field, in the playground and in LS2. Then today, we accurately measured our distances in class. We had different designs so each plane landed in different places. I think everyone in LS2 enjoyed this activity and at the same time, learned a lot since we had to think about our designs, how we found them and collaborated with our team at the same time.

Soundtrack - Task 8

This is my 8th Task for our holiday reading challenge. The purpose of this challenge is for us students in PBS to keep in touch with our reading! In this task, I had to choose a song which describes the main characters feelings in the story. I chose: Thinking out Loud, by Ed Sheeran. I think that this song fits perfectly with this book because the song is calm and soft just like the book, Sickened.

Petunia Pretty Paws

In our school, we have holiday home reading challenges. This work is to keep us updated and ready for school again. In this task, I had to write a time where the side kick of this story helped out the main character. I have chosen this book called, "My name is Stilton, Geronimo Stilton". The author of this book is - Elisabetta Dami. This book is also a adventurous story which can be very interesting for people who love to go on adventures. Have a read of this book!

Sickened - Task 4

In our school, we have holiday home reading challenges. This work is to keep us updated and ready for school again. I could create any kind of activity with this book. I chose to rewrite the story in a much interesting and detailed way than the original. This story is about a young 12 year old girl who has survived a rare sickness. It is also like a diary that was written a very long time ago. The author of this story is Julie Gregory. I recommend anyone older than 10 to read this book because it is easy and understandable.

Holiday Reading Task 3

In our school, we have holiday home reading challenges. This work is to keep us updated and ready for school again. In this task, I had to write a recommendation and recommend this book to someone. The author of this book is Kathryn Lasky and this book is a diary. I recommended this book to children my age because I think it suits them very well! Have a try reading this book!

Home Reading Challenge - Task 2

In our school, we have holiday home reading challenges. This work is to keep us updated and ready for school again. My task was to retell the end of the story. I had to think of a different way and to make my ending interesting. The author of this book is - Sally Nicholls. This book is also a fantasy book and I recommend it for year 7 or 8. Have a try reading this book!
